I finally bought pre made pesto and I have an idea for a recipe that I made up:
Make spinach pasta, mix with sauteed margarine, garlic cloves, diced onion and pesto and tomatos. Do you think this will be good??

my sister makes pesto pasta and it is awesome. She makes homemade pesto though, the premade type I use (schneiders) is never as good. She just mixes pasta and pesto.
I don't think you necessarily need the sauted onion and garlic, pesto is made from garlic. Also, won't margerine congeal? Use olive oil.
you can also add avocado if you want.

It sounds a bit much all the spinach, garlic, pesto.
Pesto pasta is yum just plain pasta with the sauce OR you can mix the pesto sauce with some milk, cheese and a drop of flour to make like a pesto cheese sauce and then pour over the pasta.
Now Im hungry _________________

The pesto I found is really good- it was sold at Ralphs, is pareve. I've put it in salad and sandwiches and it's so tasty.
I think I'll do it but use oil instead as suggested and skip the garlic. I'll let you know if it's any good. Maybe I'll thicken with mocha mix and flour (I'm serving as a side on Shabbos so it's gotta be Pareve)

I would just toss plain pasta with the premade pesto, and add either sun dried tomatoes, or regular tomatoes marinated for half an hour in crushed garlic olive oil and salt. _________________ Really Awesome Mom!

ra- I saw this too late! Well, I ended up:
sauteeing green onions in a tiny amount of oil with one garlic clove crushed
added 1 tomato and 1/2 bag broccoli and a little salt
1 small jar pesto
poured all this on the pasta which was spinach linguine
Delicious!
