As in, how much does the average woman spend on herself per year?
This includes clothing, shoes, makeup, accessories.
NO SHEITELS in this calculation.
Can anyone try to figure out the amount per year?
I spend about $2500 and am wondering if it's normal/little/higher.
cant figure out the dollar amount, but on average the past few years;
one inexpensive pair of shoes a year( I usually wear one pair for weekday/shabbos/winter/summer)
second hand clothing (in the past few years) and not that many
barely makeup or accessories
you could include sheitels for me, mine were secondhand presents these past three years!
I think you really wanted other posters, right?

Never tried to figure it out but the 2K-3K range sounds very normal to me for clothes, shoes, makeup etc. Not very conservative but not too crazy either. _________________ "Don't turn your back. Don't look around. And don't blink. Good luck." -The Doctor

I'd say about $1500-$2000
eta: if I take out sheitel washes, mikvah and waxings, it's probably closer to 1000. But I go through shoes like water and tights are also a HUGE expense.

Jewelry. Lekovod yom tov.
I definitely spend at least 12-15,000 a year. What's $1,000 a month?
Clothing today is disposable. If she is spending $25,000 that is pretty easy too if buying designer clothes.
I buy mostly at outlets, or cheaper brands. But you need coats, clothes, dry cleaners, shoes, boots, etc.
Not including car expenses, travel/vacations, eating out, etc.
According to someone I know, she expects her husband to provide her with $10,000 a month!!!!
She only wears designer jewelry and clothes, shoes at $800 and up per pair, pocketbooks that cost thousands, etc. She divorced one husband because he failed to provide that, and now the current one has lost his money, so I wonder when she will get divorced again and start searching anew.
Amother because of the ultimate inexcusable bashing I expect to get.

The above reinforces that money doesn't buy happiness or shalom bayis (not to say it doesn't help-it does!) but if money is the only reason to marry someone...oy vey.
