25th Anniversary

my parents 25th anniversary is approaching. My sisters and I would like to do something special. We have some ideas, however, I want to hear some fresh ones!

We made a party in my house for close friends and family (about 50 ppl). Everyone who was there (besides for my inlaws and us kids) had known them for almost as long as they had been married or longer. Each of the kids spoke, as did a few other people. My sister made them a scrapbook of their life together and we presented it there. The party was elegant but also had a nice, homey feel to it. It was a real celebration of their marriage.

Slideshows are a good idea too, we were just too lazy and didn't want to worry about A/V equipment.

I thought of a scrapbook, however my mom is not a picture person. not that she would appretiate it! also it can be lots of work. I'm keeping on my list. as for a party, we will probably make a nice dinner party for the immediate family. thanks for the suggestions.
