| About four years ago their was a serial in Family First about a young couple where the husband became chasidish and the wife was not interested. Did it come out as a book? If not how did it end?

It was published as a book called Hidden Promises.
The storyline dragged on a lot and took away a lot from the plot.
In the end Goldie learns to accept her husband's new ways.

| I remember being pretty fed up with the story and then disappointed with the ending because I figured I was following all along in the hope that something would pick up, but it just didn't. So unless something dramatically changed in the book printing, I wouldn't waste anyone's time. It was just chapter after chapter of melodrama about how terribly disappointed she was. And then it sort of suddenly became all rosy and OK.

| Thanks everyone. I have always wondered about it. It was a really interesting idea. Does she become chasidish or just accept him being chasidish?

| Not a fan, portrayed the wife in a negative way which I felt was unfair. I don't like the attitude that a woman should just accept whatever religious path a husband takes without question and regard to how she feels.

I think it was called 22 Promises, by Naama.
And it led to one of the finest Purim spoofs in the history of mankind. Reva's are up there too. And of course, this year's Jewish thriller abstract. _________________ The righteous praise and honor people for every good quality that is found in them while the wicked seek out faults in others to pull them down, even if they repented those deeds. Was that about their son getting a yellow ducky yamulke for his upsherin? or something like that?
I do remember a lot of "I, Naama" in the story. Was said from her point of view. and it seemed like she like to remind the reader that.

I don't think she became Chassidish, just accepting. I actually liked that part. _________________ Chayalle

| Yes, it was written well, although pretty drawn out, but in a book it didn't bother me. I actually love Naama's writing, she is Chava Rosenberg actually and in Mishpacha calls herself Naama.

Wow. I'm kicking myself for not guessing that one, I guess because I didn't read it as a book straight through but from Mishpacha, not necessarily in order, but I got the drift.
