How long does it take to change the sheets ?!!!!

I recently started with a new cleaning lady who is very sweet, but she takes soooo long to do everything! I just watched her this morning and it took her over 1 1/2 hours to change the sheets on 8 beds! Is this normal? I pay her by the hour!

do you have my old cleaning lady???also super sweet but it took her 45 minutes to MAKE a bed..not even change the sheets..I had to fire her....efficiency is part of good cleaning lady work...if she cant comply with that you must fire her or you are getting PLAYED!

I agree. That is a lot of beds to get done in an hour and a half. I couldn't do it. Smile

How long does it take you to make up eight beds? If you can do it faster, show the cleaning lady how. Maybe you do it differently. Personally, I don't think it's unreasonable to take that long to completely remake eight beds.

I think that is slow.
Does she have to find matching sheets/pillow cases in the linen closets too? Then I would double my estimate. Laughing

It's only a sheet and pillowcase - no duvet covers or top sheets (we use comforters that I wash about once a month) plus two of the beds are toddler beds so they're super easy to do and one is a portable crib with no pillow or blanket. Plus I leave the clean sheets on the correct beds for her so she knows exactly which ones go with which bed. Maybe I am being ridiculous, but when I did it myself it never took me even close to that long, and even my kids change their own sheets and make their beds faster.

She is not old. She's probably younger than I am.

I guess I'm just cranky about the cleaning help. She also took 5 1/2 hours just to clean my basement which includes 1 bathroom, laundry room, playroom and two bedrooms (both of which already had the beds made) and all of which were meticulously neat before she came.

I've had cleaning help before (although not for a long time) and I don't remember it taking so long to clean. Am I completely out of touch?

I'm sorry, over 11 minutes on average just to change the sheet and pillowcase? No way. 5 minutes tops.

I think that is slow. Its hard to get them to be faster and more efficient.
