Need an idea for a gan/playgroup

My dd has a birthday party in gan this week. the way it goes is that we have to buy a present for the gan, a toy game or something like that. I thought of a book but I was tolled that that's to small. ( its a 2-3 year old gan) and made some goody bags for all the kids.

any one have any idea of what can I buy the gan?
what can I put in the goody bag?

Were you told by the teacher that a book is too small?
I think a story book on your child's level sounds nice, a tape, puzzle, ball, a box game.
How much money do you want to spend?

Also, yes the teacher said that a book is to small. I dont really want to sped so much. im thinking of no more then $10.
