Being creative all day as a kindergarten teacher I tend to be less than enthusiastic about MM.
We do most of our MM through tzedaka organizations but we will deliver some.

Our MM are simple, and no theme.
They will have the following items:

1 box candy
1 can pringles
1 piece of fruit.

Any suggestions for a witty purim poem would be humbly and GRATEFULLY appreciated.

Your new BFF,
Valleymom

A freilichen Purim to all our dear friends
We hope in our humble way that we're able
To enhance your simcha with this offering
Suitable for you festive table.

(optional second stanza)
We wondered if there was a chiyuv for themes
Our rav checked all Arba Turim
Nope, no chiyuv beyond two ready foods to one
So this year the theme is... Purim!

A Purim theme we have not,
Although we'll give this poem a shot!
We wish you all joy and all good,
From the ValleyMom 'hood,
Even though this poem lacks a plot!

A freilichen Purim to all,
We hope you do have a ball!
We hope you enjoy our food,
Pringles are cool, dude!
Eat up, chag sameach, y'all.

Purim is a time for joy,
But coming up with theme made us go "Oy!"
Although we are themeless,
Our mesholach manos are seamless!
So please eat up and enjoy!

...Wait, you said "witty" right? Never mind, ignore these. Smile

See, now I think that's hysterical.
My neighbors might not appreciate the subtlety of the verse.

Purim is my favorite holiday except for the stress of the darn themes.

I am anti theme.

Just bring me good food!-- and noone gets hurt!

if you dont do a theme why do you need a poem? I thought a poem was a neccessity born of the need to explain a theme? and no theme = no need for a poem?

put you best wishes in your own heartfelt words, I find they are more appreciated

How about:

Admit it!
The last poem you got--you FRUIT out--did you not?
Don't worry, we won't put you on the spot.
So this year, our theme is venahapuch hi
Just to show you what we CAND-DY.
We'll PRINGLE the nosh you want, but no motif
For us, this is a great relief.
We hope it ain't too grave a sin.
Here's wishing you a Purim that's not too BOXED in!

I combined all of your ideas and the end result is this:

A Purim theme we have not,
Although we'll give this poem a shot:
We wondered if there’s a chiyuv for Purim “themes “
So, we checked and we checked all Arba Turim
Nope, no chiyuv beyond two ready foods—Yum Yum!
So this year the theme is...
Happy Purim!
From,
The -------Family!

I encourage everyone brazen enough to have NO theme to partake and enjoy this poem.
enjoy and THANKS for your support.
I feel completely liberated.

Thank you, but I have to add my voice. Re Roses are red, etc: totally Not worthy . Brings joy anew every time I see it.
OK, so heard megillah, davened, tidied up front room, brought MM upstairs, coffee break's over. Back on my head...
