Help!! anyone have a good delicious recipe for a NON pickeled tongue? I was told that tongue needs special recipe & special care otherwise its not good & a waste of money. I want to make it for our purim seuda.

wow! it has some quite interesting ingredients what kind of taste is it sharp? sweet? sour?...?

It's sweet and tangy/sour.

I know most people reheat the tongue in this sauce. But I would probably dilute it halfway with the tongue cooking water. Or just drizzle it warm over the slices. It's quite a strong sauce.

I just boil the tongue for 2-3 hours, let it cool, peel, slice and serve with a mushroom sauce

I buy canned whole cranberries or buy craisins and plump them up in orange juice.

I've never seen the canned cranberries. Only whole berry cranberry sauce. I have some fresh cranberries in my freezer. I guess I can cook them up.

sweet and sour tongue is my favorite!

dont know the recipe but my father makes it with a tomato/brown sugar type sauce.

if you want I can ask him- no "interesting" ingredients.
