Is cash tacky?

Forgive me please if this question has been asked already, but is it ok to slip a 50 dollar bill into the rebbes MM (of course in an envelope) instead of a check?

I'd also love to know. I have given checks in the past and people passed it on and sometimes it goes through months later when I don't have enough at the moment to cover it. I would love to give cash. What does everyone else feel?

I only give cash. it is much more convenient for the rebbe as well.

Sure! You're actually saving them the extra job of having to cash a check; at least that's what I have felt as a teacher.

I give cash over checks. They appreciate it more. It's less of a hassle for them.

I had a young student come to school with mm and apparently an envelope that got lost on the way so be careful when sending cash to school with young children!
