| Minced garlic is chopped very small with a knife. Crushed garlic is crushed with a garlic press.

I also always wondered: when a recipe calls for two cloves of minced garlic, for example, how much do you put if youre using the spice? _________________ Take my advice. I wasn't using it anyway.

I do. I treat minced and crushed interchangeably. I may be wrong, but my results have been fine. _________________ Want to lose weight fast? Want to keep it off easily?

1 clove of garlic is equal to 1/2 tsp of the crushed fresh garlic.
The jarred garlic doesn't compare in taste.
The frozen cubes are great for most things (but not for everything.) _________________ Really Awesome Mom!

In what kind of things do you recommend using fresh garlic instead of the frozen cubes?

I use fresh garlic in garlic roasted chicken and vegetables, for marinating a garlic roast, etc.
And of course I use whole cloves of fresh garlic in my chicken soup, just slightly cut into.
