Anyone has a good pepper steak recipe?

I've made property steak numerous times but it always comes out dry hard and chewy. please share a recipe that you tried and came out soft and tasty.

I like one from here- it's titled "Pepper steak from Quick and Kosher"-- although when I tried finding it in the cookbook, I couldn't. So I am not sure the origins of the recipe.

I use minute steak I cube it allways comes out soft.

This is always soft:

Pepper Steak

3 lb. pepper steak meat
2 large onions, coarsely chopped
2-4 peppers (colors of choice), in chunks
2 stalks celery, sliced
1 cup water
1 tablespoon beef bouillon powder
3 tablespoons corn starch
� cup red wine
3 tablespoons soy sauce

Brown the meat in a heavy pot. Add onions, peppers and celery and cook until they soften. Add water and bouillon powder. Cover and cook for 30 minutes. Mix the corn starch, wine and soy sauce until smooth. Add to mixture, stirring steadily until it boils. Cook covered at a simmer for another 30 minutes. Serve over rice.

hi I live in israel and I make really good steak, just sprinkle with salt and pepper and fry over on both sides. quick, easy and yum!!

I let it go for as long as I think it needs. I am not such a stickler for recipes. Smile

This one was in the Binah a while ago and is a real hit in my family.

1 lb pepper steak
1 large onion
1/2 red pepper (stripped)
1/2 yellow pepper (stripped)
1/2 green pepper (stripped)
2 cups (or 1 can) mushroom
Marinade:
4 tbsp oil
4 tbsp soy sauce
10 tsp brown sugar
8 crushed garlic
Drop of any wine

Combine marinade ingredients, let steak marinate in sauce for at least an hour.

Saut� onion, add peppers. Saut� till soft. Add mushrooms & saut�.
Remove vegetables from pan.

Add steak with marinade.
Cook 1-2 hours (or till soft) Last 5 minutes. Add back in vegetables

cook kosher has an amazing hungarian style it has no peppers tho
