Help a furniture shopping novice here!

So basically I am moving to a house from a basement apartment and officially have no furniture. We own not much more than beds, some broken futons that we'd like to get rid of and a giant bean bag chair that is going into the basement and is awesome, but is not practical seating. Smile

We're on a bit of a budget, but the rooms we have to furnish are as follows:
Living room: Need a couch (preferably reclining) and coffee table.
Den: Sectional - preferably a really comfy, sink-into-the-pillows type. I like the ones that come with the middle square that can be added as a seat or act as a coffee table.
Dining room: We have a cheap but functional table and 4 chairs that are on their last legs (haha, I made a pun. B)) but we can live with them for now. Ideally, I'd want to get a whole new set but that seems expensive... We also already have a breakfront so thats good.
Bedroom: Dresser/vanity, good closet organizing, chest of drawers
Kitchen: A smaller kitchen table with chairs, possibly a pantry.

I've been looking at Bobs Furniture and Jennifer Convertibles -- I found that Jennifer couches were way smaller than Bobs, and seemed much cheaper, but Bobs doesn't have the biggest selection. Ashley Madison has a sale until March 5th on full living room sets which would be ideal, but I've never been to their showroom so I don't know their quality. Raymore and Flannigan seems a bit pricier, but if we found what we liked, we MIGHT spring for it.

I don't want to spend too much because IY"H when we do have kids, I fully expect them to ruin it so I'd rather get comfortable, functional and visually appealing but not super expensive.

Anyone have any ideas, reccomendations, advice, etc? Any help or insight of where to go?

Thanks in advance!!
