Reader's digest

I think Reader's Digest was invented for bathroom reading. Every article takes about 2-3 minutes to read.

I am also against reading material in the bathroom. I would not like too handle something that someone might have handled without washing first. Yuck

Not to single you out, but I read something recently about the appalling amount of bacteria on smart-phones. According to one study, the toilet seat itself is cleaner than a smartphone screen.

Nothing, I barely get time to spend in the bathroom and as mentioned in above, with only one in my flat, time is limited...

I am the only one who reads my reading material. Dh is the only one interested in his stuff. No problem here. Now, the books my kids take into the bathroom....those I wouldn't touch until disinfected.

OK, I was going to say something like, it's heartening how many people stick to mesorah and have Reader's Digest (I almost did along those lines on immediate reaction before opening the thread) but all I can say is,

well War and Peace has special significance to my life. Tolstoy helped out with the birth. My mother was having severe contractions, and my dad was fast asleep, snoring away. She shook him, called his name, he wouldn't wake up. Well, War and Peace is a very thick volume..Over 1,000 pages. He wouldn't wake up to drive her to the hospital, so she hit him over the head with it (it was a paperback). to wake him up and he drove to the hospital. So I have a special gratitude to the author, Tolstoy.
