FYI, I omit the red pepper flakes.
Here is instructions for wrapping egg rolls (there's also a visual video)
http://www.wikihow.com/Make-Egg-Rolls
| wikihow.com wrote: | Stuff your rolls and don't allow seepage. Place your wraps on a clean surface so that the points are up and down and left and right (should appear as a diamond, not a square). Place the filling onto the rolls.
Wrap your rolls. Take the bottom point of your wrap and fold it over top of the filling. Fold the sides in towards the middle and roll the filling towards the top point of the wrapper.
Seal the egg roll. To prevent the egg roll from unwrapping in the deep fryer you need to seal the seams, this also prevents oil from filling the inside of the egg roll. In a small dish or bowl place a beaten egg. Dip your finger into the mixture and use this as glue to seal the top point of your wrap and any openings where you feel the wrap needs to be glued together.
Cook your egg rolls. Since deep fryer temperatures will vary and size of the egg rolls will affect the cooking time, there is no set cooking time. Place 3-4 egg rolls in the deep fryer and allow to cook until golden brown. Roll the egg rolls in the oil to evenly brown the wrapper. Avoid overcooking the egg rolls.
Serve immediately. Egg rolls are best served as soon as they have finished cooking. |

That recipe looks good!
But aren't cigars rolled much thinner than egg rolls. I'm thinking of the egg rolls you get in take out places.

Original recipe calls for cutting the eggroll wrappers in half, filling, and then sealing with egg white.
Fry until golden on each side.

I am looking to make this inside as a meatball or something. Does anyone know if I can just mix those spices and add an egg and either breadcrumbs or wet bread and bake or fry as meatballs? Do you think the flavor would be good? Does anyone bake meatballs? I usually boil them. How long? What temp? TIA

No I make my cigarim with phyllo leaves. The good bit is they can be baked, you don't have to deep-fry it.
You do need to cook the meat filling first because if you use raw meat the cigarim would be burnt by the time filling is cooked.

I once ran out of time and just used the spices (minus the red pepper flakes) to brown ground meat like I would for tacos. I served it over a salad with taco chips. It was delicious.
For meatballs, arrange on a cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 20 minutes.
If crowding meatballs into a 9x13 pan, bake for 30 minutes.
