It is a very incomplete blog post. The author does not really explain the difference between punishment and discipline, and nor does she explain how to deal when a child refuses to do the "desired action." Maybe in her world children always respond to her requests right away, but that's not always the case in my world.
This is besides the fact that I don't agree with her sentiments. I do believe in giving children harmless punishments and consequences when they deserve it.
