I want to buy a CHEAP yet good enough wig. (not for weddings, just a basic wig to ruin!)

I saw some sites that sell wigs ranging from under $100 up to more expensive.

They are 100% human and look really good on the pics. They all have great reviews too.

Obviously, I wouldn't invest $1000 for an online wig, but is it totally crazy to try a $120 wig? Would you ever do it? What have I got to lose?

Well I guess you've got $120 to lose! I probably just go to a nonfrum wig and hair store and buy a cheap piece there. I'm too cheap to lose $120 Smile

So? Am I the only crazy woman to consider shopping a wig online?
In what way can I go wrong ordering one?

Thanks, Mama bear for your reply. Anyone else?

I bought wigs online, mainly synthetic but also one natural for very cheap. Very worth it in my case.

Thanks, Ruchel. And mazel Tov to your latest addition!

Did you shop at a Heimishe business site or a non Jewish site?

I saw some interesting stuff on vogue wigs.com. And lightinthebox.com.
Maybe somebody has a min to check what I'm talking about. The pics look phenomenal but I'm wondering if there's a secret they won't tell us....

Thanks!

I bought the synthetic kanekalon ones on ebay, from a Hong Kong seller.
I bought the real hair from Mimi's Looks. She's on FB too.

I bought a cheap, human hair from yaffa wigs on ebay. It's not like the 1000+ ones but it's nice for the few times per year that I wear it. I have also bought a few fun synthetic ones off of ebay too.

I bought a wig from the jessica simpson ken peeves line "hair do" online.

I found one at ebay fro $167 (instead of shelling out $500 at their website)

it last roughly for one year............very poorly made, and its suppost to be real hair. ugh

I would maybe consider it

I saw some here at
http://www.rpgshow.com/
you can specify everything, hair type, color, size, glueless cap obviously, I couldn't deal with the glue stuff

but they are a lot

I have bought many synthetics online with good success, from Vogue Wigs, Light In The Box, and other places. They are not expensive so I just give any away I can't use. When I find a good one, I get at least three of the same. The dark browns are very realistic. Be patient, they need to break in.

Human hair, well, I have never worn that. You might do better with a dark color and a straight, not curly, texture.
