Please help....I'm not sure if I have bed bugs and don't know what to do. I have bites/welts on my body (arms, neck, back). They're not 3 in a row but some of them are in a group of 3 (triangle type of formation). I've inspected my mattress and haven't found any spots - it's BH spotless. Also, DH doesn't have any spots. Could that be because he's in a different bed? But dont' these bugs spread like crazy and I've been having these bites for at least 3 weeks. Do I call an exterminator? Should I make an appt with a dr or dermtologist?
Help!!!!please

my doctor was sure that I had bed bugs when it was really a hive type reaction to the dyes/perfumes in my laundry (particularly linen). I made myself crazy thinking that I had them. I even started a thread on here as amother. I happened to have had an exterminator for something else and he took and look and didn't see any. I would start with an exterminator. If he finds, then you know. If not, then see a dermatologist.

not everyone gets a reaction to bed bugs. some ppl get the spots and others do not. just b/c your dh doesn't have the bites doesn't mean you don't have them. I would also call an exterminator. they know how to look for these things.

I had bedbugs and I hope for your sake that you don't. I was getting what looked like hives for about 2 weeks, finally went to the dermatologist and they said it's mosquito bites. I knew that wasn't true. Then I was sick for two days and stayed in bed most of the time and it got worse, so I checked my bed and low and behold saw little bugs. If you pick up the mattress and look on the boxspring in the sides or corners you may very well see bugs. If not still call the exterminator, the doctor doesn't always know.

Good Luck and I hope that it's just allergic reaction. Oh and by the way my husband and I had our beds together and he only got two bites that looked like pimples and I had all over my legs, arms, hands, stomach etc.

Survivor here: Bb bites are consecutive and normally u would wake up w/ them in the morn. Take a look in the piping of the mattress and on the opposite side of it too.. Inspect the mattress cover as well. I would also hava dr. Look at the bites to check if it can possibly be something else. And... Bb spread but it can take a bit for it too really get onto another bed/clothing and hatch. And like mosquitoes they prefer one persons sweeter blood over others... And then exterminators inspections aint too expensive.. Stay on safe side and let s/o professional take a look.

I would definitely advise calling an exterminator. I once thought that I had bb and called an exterminator. He checked all common places and didn't find anything. He didn't charge me anything.

A year later I my dh was complaining about some bites and later on I had some sort of rash on my neck. I called the same exterminator and he found a couple of bb on dh's bed and one under the baby's crib. We BH caught it early on and got rid of it asap.

Can I have the # for a good exterminator? I need one to come check if I have bed bugs and then get rid of them if I do.
Thanks
