How long to give eye drops for Pink Eye?

My ped said to use a prescription I had in the house for my DS's pink eye- but I forgot to ask him how long to administer the eye drops. Anyone know off hand what is the standard amount of time? His eyes look better after about 4 days of giving it 3 times a day, but I'm unsure if I should be giving it for a 10 or 7 day period or not.
Yes, I know I can call the ped- I actually just did to make an appnt for my other kid and forgot to ask my question! Embarassed

So, I wanted to avoid calling right back if possible Rolling Eyes

Mine are usually 10 days.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking- but then I had a vague recollection from the time I used these drops with my baby that it was 7 days. But, I could totally be wrong with that because it was a long while ago...

My baby just had pink eye last week. Dr told me to administer the drops 3x/day for 5 days.
