| What is your "weird" or #1 ingredient that you add to your dish that makes it extra special? For me, I find that adding soy milk to my cake makes it very moist. What is yours?

A couple of teaspoons of instant coffee to my cholent! Don't worry - it's decaf - fear not for your Shabbos naps!

vodka!
obviously pure vanilla extract in cakes
vodka in salted fish
vodka in sauces for chicken
The alcohol cooks out, and the flavor stays. Delicious!

Apple cider vinegar in guacamole, or a sprinkling of brown sugar in salads.
Also a very small, small dash of cayenne pepper in something like macaroni and cheese or soup will give it a great kick and you won't notice it's spicy!
