| The Italian or Latin version is Beatrice. Bea is the nickname. Beata or beato literally means blessing in Latin.

I know a Bracha whose legal name is Beth. Technically it is short for Elizabeth, but who cares? _________________ I like nonsense. It wakes up the brain cells. - Dr. Seuss

I wouldn't say that Barbara is any more in style that Bernice nowadays...
but if you want to keep the B, how about
Brianna
Bailey
Becca
Bella
Bree
Bonnie
or you could just call yourself Bee - lots of people with that initial use it as a nickname. _________________ http://crunchyandkosher.blogspot.com/

my hebew name is Brocha and I go by my english name.... Brooke. the logic when I was named was that since the biggest Brocha is water, and you cant live with out it, Brooke is a good translation. Just beware - People are likely to call you Brookie!
Anon because I dont want to link my name to my username!

Beatrice has Christian origins. The Italian (Jewish) version is Benedetta
