For all those who are interested in our get together, the date is Dec 18, 11 am. At Discovery Times Square.
. Im taking that date becuase during that week there will be in addition to the BEST collection of Judaica ever seen in America, a showing of the oldest EVER seen aseres hadibrot. @ Chocolate moose......... This is NOT common Judaica, this is the dead sea scroll exhibition, with the finest Jeiwsh antiquities on exhibition that has ever come to our shores. In addition, the very oldest copy of the aseret hadibrot ever found will be on display. It is so fragile that it will only be on display in this short window of time.
As far as it being before xmas? People will be shopping. It has no baring on us.

I'm in.

Nope! This is the first and only time the dead sea scrolls or the peice of the kotel or the oldest aseret hadibrot has ever been to the states! I do hope you change your mind and please join us!

I'm curious - how did it go?? Did you all meet? Did you all have a good time? Let us know!!

'Pink and Yellow' and I arrived around 20 minutes late.
Since the sent in groups in different time slots, we did not see the group of imamothers, but had a great time anyway.
The exhibit was awesome!!!

I would definetly reccomend the exhibit.

Thanks for the reply. I had been reading your posts when you were in the planning stages, so I was really curious to hear the outcome. How did you all find each other? Did you wear name tags? Did you do lunch afterwards?

I was also curious if this was the same exhibit as in the Israel Museum?
