DD has olive green poop for the past week or so, is it something to worry about? What causes it?

if youre nursing, it may be something you ate. But it sounds like a long time. Unless youve been eating a lot of something green all week?

Is baby eating very quickly? Maybe too much foremilk, not enough hindmilk?

Oversupply and fast letdown can be green poop producing.
Sometimes, certain foods can.
Illness also causes this.

But usually it's the first thing on my list. If baby as reflux/reflux like symptoms, that would also be indicative of these not so major issues.

My baby had green poop for a while because of foremilk/hindmilk imbalance. Look into that first. It could also be a sign of stomach irritation, so maybe something you're eating isn't agreeing.

I nurse on one side and then burp her, then give her that side again until there's nothing left and then if she's still hungry (she eats a lot!) I offer the next side.

What am I doing wrong?

Nothing -- you're doing great Smile You're doing nothing wrong.

Just sometimes changes in the way you nurse can improve things based on the way your body makes milk...it doesn't make what you're doing wrong, but rather it's just a better way to make your baby happy. See the difference? (I think a lot of success in nursing is due to people's confidence that they are able to feed their baby Smile)

What I would suggest is 1)if you have a fast letdown to pump off a couple of ounces before feeding and continue with your current method of feeding 2)if you can, feed the SAME side 2 feedings in a row instead of switching between the sides at each feeding. This can also increase the hindmilk production.

My baby had this as well...I thought it was because he was hungry (I heard this once) but my mother said as long as he was a happy baby which he was I was ok but if he starts being really unhappy I should ask the dr.
If she is fine otherwise, I wouldnt worry to much about it and I would maybe just mention it to the dr next time u visit so u know what to do next time it happens.

The first week or so my son also made green diapers. I heard it's because of breastmilk and the pre-natals in it. It's normal.
