Amex free $25

AMEX is doing it again. They have an annual small business Saturday where you pre-register your amex card, then go on the designated day (nov. 26) and spend 25 or more on your card at a small business. They credit back the 25 to your account automatically. It's free money. I did it last year and there were no issues. This year I will make a motzei shabbos grocery store run since it's a small business. Many restaurants also qualify.

I did this last year too, at the local kosher grocery. This year I think my husband and I will split it 50/50 between practicalities and luxuries- one of us will spend it at the grocery and buy free meat for the week, the other will use it to treat us to a night at a new restaurant Smile

last year they actually extended it until the end of december, so it didn't have to be on that day.

When I called them up last year, they said that any store or business that is not a large chain or corporation (not Target, etc). so definitely a local Kosher store, a tzedakah, a seforim store, amazing savings, etc.

I would be careful about amazing savings. There are a lot of amazing saving's and I believe it is a corporation or franchise:

Some local kosher stores ie. pomegranate, are also corporations since there are several branches.

I'd call jut to make sure.

Anyone know of any kosher supermarkets in Brooklyn that qualify and will be open Motzei Shabbos? I see Moishe's on the list, but I doubt they'll be open.

I was ignoring this deal as I don't have an Amex card.

However, DH just heard about it, and pulled out not one, but 7 Amex cards! He has then in names of a number of our kids (with their permission and he uses them and pays the bills) which were taken out for various mileage deals and he registered all of them for this deal. He used 2 for tzedakas and left the other 5 for me to spend.

Our local kosher grocery has posted special Motzei Shabbos hours for this deal. I can just see the face of the cashier when I split my $125 purchase onto 5 different cards!
