Oh, funny that you mention it, I just made this recipe today for the first time!
The correction that they added to this recipe is to melt the chocolate chips in a double broiler before adding them to the other ingredients.

| I made the recipe the first way. The unmelted chips added a great crunch. I think I'll stick to this method if I use it again.

I don't have the Ami magazine, so I don't know if this is it, but I saw this recipe posted on this site a short time ago:
Oreo Cookie Dough Pie
2 store-bought prepared chocolate pie crusts
2 (8 ounce) containers non-dairy whipped topping
15 pareve chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed
3/4 C brown sugar
1 C flour
1 C chocolate chips
1/2 teaspoon salt
1. In a large bowl, beat whipped toppinf until stiff peaks form. Mix the crushed sandwich cookies, brown sugar, flour, chocolate chips and salt until well combined. Fold into the whipped topping, mixing well. Pour into 2 pie crusts.
2. Freeze until ready to serve.
For an elegant plating option, press the 2 pie crusts into a 9x13 pan. Pour the mixture into the pan. Using a cookie mold, cut into round shapes or squares and serve.
Yield:12-16 Servings

Two questions:
- is this the recipe that had the choc. chips being melted correction?
- just checking: that much flour and no baking?

I thought I'd heard it was there. I'd hesitated to bring it up; I don't want that to disqualify me from the competition
If anyone's scared, you can PM me. Please?

Is this better with the chocolate melted or without? I'm making it for people who arent the biggest chocolate fans...
Also, which would be better this recipe or the easy oreo ice cream pie in this thread-http://imamother.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=152589
Trying to decide which to do!
Thanks

I have not made this, but as the recipe is cookie DOUGH, it probably should not be baked. Raw choc chip cookie dough is very tasty-ask my kids who prefer me not to bake the cookies! _________________ If you're gonna be blue, be bright blue!

| I made it only once a long time ago (around the time I posted it). I didn't bake it, but like Shanie said, it's called "cookie dough". I don't know if it's the same as the recipe with the melted chocolate correction; I didn't melt the chocolate.
