I am due this month (November) and it is my first experience with having a newborn throughout the winter months. Would a Bundle Me be a wise purchase or are blankets just as good and easy?

Also, if you recommend a Bundle Me, which one should I get? I live in Israel in an area does that not get terribly cold and it does not snow here.

Choice one $40

Choice two $30

Thanks!

Definitely easier than a blanket.

The first one is for a car seat. The second one is for a toddler in a stroller.

If it does not get too cold, do you think your baby would be too hot in one of those bundle me things (wow, never saw such a thing, its great, can you get them in Israel?)
If it gets cold enough, I would buy the one for the carriage, not the car seat. it looks like a bigger child can fit in that so it will "grow" with the baby.

I had a bundle me for my daughter through the winter (she was born in early September) and honestly, its the only thing I used for her until it warmed up. It was kept in her carseat so whenever I carried her outside, she was in the carseat and since our stroller was just a snap n go that we put her carseat in, I didn't have to buy an extra one for the stroller. But if you have a seperate stroller, you can buy another bundle me or a snowsuit for when you take walks/get out.... etc...

I have the first one and love it. I live in Israel and did not have one for my first. I was in the US and borrowed my sil and loved it. You can use this one in a car seat or stroller-I used it in the stroller. Its not bulky like a snowsuit. It wont fall off under the stroller wheels like a blanket. If you leave it in the stoller you wont forget it three flights up. Its also great at the between times when its not really cold but if you stay out later or its windy you can just zip it up. I should add that it was a gift so cost was not really an issue.

Thanks all for the input.

Ronit, they both can be used in the carseat (which is what I want it for.) One is ONLY for the carseat and the original bundle me can be used in the carseat or stroller.

Shabbatiscoming, I was wondering it is overkill but I don't really think so -- my baby will be very little during the coldest months and infants need to be kept warmer anyway...I think I am going to go for it. I do not believe that you can buy it here in Israel but my parents and in-laws are both coming so one of them can bring it.

Thanks again!
