They went to the pond near the Owings Mills JCC -- closest fishing to our home, I think, although the fishing is better at Piney Run and at Loch Raven. They caught 8 fish total. 2 were so small they threw them back. Of the remainder, all except one are appetizer size. The fish are now swimming in a laundry bucket in the hallway.
They caught all the fish in the last half hour, between 5:00 and 5:30, and they were at the pond for about 4 hours! I am told that fish are easiest to catch close to sunrise and sunset. Next time I think DH will daven mincha before they leave, so they can start later and end later.
DFS was SO EXCITED! And DH was SO EXHAUSTED! Well maybe not that exhausted, because now he's out with DS#1 at the Ner Israel Simchas Beis HaShoeva. _________________

DD slept at my parents. She is too young for the events around that started at 5.
We went to a sukka restaurant. _________________

Fire garage children had a blast
we took pictures each child had a chance to dress
the idea of sitting in the truck was a dream for them

incredibly, we didnt spend a penny this chol hamoed! I'm shocked!
Sunday we had a special needs event at a local ballroom, with a moonwalk, refreshments, puppet show etc.
monday, dh took the boys to belle harbor to the beach. the kids LOOOOVED it.
Today, I took my special needs 3 yr old to the dentist to get a ROOT CANAL! (yes, it was free.) then dh took the boyz to the staten island ferry, and to a playground in manhattan afterwards.
While I spent the day in Kitchenasium and Couch USA. both were free, too. _________________ http://www.autism-parenting.com

Fri morning: Ra'anana Park for picnic and fun.
Sun: Birkat HaKohanim at the Kotel + lunch somewhere in Emek Refaim. Eve: Sukkot fair at local community center w/kids.
Mon: Shopping for lighting in S. Tel Aviv. Lunch at some little place in S. TelAviv (we were desperate to find aplace w/a sukkah!)
Tues: Israel Museum w/kids. Lots of activities for kids, plus a nice tour of the youth wing. Later we split up and went into the main (non-youth-oriented) exhibits. Lunch at one of the many sukkot scattered around the museum campus. Evening: bought sports shoes for the boys.
