my baby sleeps in our bed and we have 2 twins connected. she ends up sleeping a lot in a crack between the mattresses. she really likes it there:) is it really bad for her? shes 10 months old.

You're right to be concerned. It's a suffocation hazard and could be a strangulation hazard if ch"v her body fell between the beds and her head was stuck above. It depends on how big the space is, whether the mattresses can move around, and whether it's a real space or just a groove. If you can fit more than two fingers between the mattresses it's not good.

Get a double sheet so she can't fall through and make sure the beds can't roll away from each other so she doesn't ch'v fall through the crack. Even so, if she puts her face in the crack through the sheet, its not smooth and can restrict the oxygen flow..

You can put a bed guard on one of the beds and let your baby sleep there, between you and the bed guard. Sleeping in the crack would make me nervous.

so its not really a crack, its just a little tinny crack cuz theres no way two mattresses can feel like 1. we have a king size comforter and a sheet and theres no way the beds can move away from each other. I was actually worried abt her back.... can it influence her back development?

I remember a Shabbos afternoon when I was maybe 6 - my parents couldn't find my 4-year-old sister ANYWHERE. We looked for her for hours, and my parents were just giving her description to the police when my 2-year-old sister found her -- she'd fallen asleep in the crack between my parents' pushed-together twin beds, with the blanket laid perfectly flat over her, so it looked like nothing was there!
