My daughter is stuck in bed with her foot broken. I'm looking for videos to view online that are more educational, than others.
I'd rather spend her time watching the magic school bus, instead of Clifford, who just gets into trouble and out.
What other good children videos are out there?

How old is your daughter? Is she more/less mature for her age. (I have a daughter who loves a video series that is made for kids about two years younger than her.) I have a lot of suggestions but want to go down the right path.

She's 7, but it's her first experience to non jewish videos, and even the magic school bus is frightening.

Diego teaches children about animals, AFAIK.

Most animated childrens videos have a villain and are frightening. I'd suggest the Bernstain Bears and Caillou is you don't want frightening stuff.

Okay my oldest is 7 and also scares easily.

She loves Little Einsteins (NOT Baby Einstein). It's about these four little kids (animated) who help solve problems and teaches about music and art.

Another big hit is WonderPets. Little pets who help animals in trouble. (Also animated).

Martha Speaks is about a talking dog. Lots of good vocabulary/grammar.

CyberChase is a animated show about science. There is a villian, so maybe check that one out first to see if it is too intense for her.

Between the Lions is a good show about language and reading.

Dinosaur Train is good but might not work depending on your hashkafa.

Sid the Science Kid is another good science show.

You might check out Word Girl. She's a superhero girl who teaches grammar while she fights crime. The villians are pretty rediculous but I would watch it before hand to see if you think it is okay for her.

We also like nature videos. Our library has lots of Discovery Channel for kids. Or Jack Hanna, who also works with animals. My younger daughter LOVES the Crocodile Hunter, but it scares my older one, so I don't know if that would work for you but it teaches a lot about animals and habitat.

Check out www.pbskids.org. Some of their shows I mentioned. Some are going to be too young for your daughter. We don't allow Arthur or Maya & Miguel.

Refuah shleima to your daughter.
