Taking showers in the nine days

According to every psika I am aware of, you must shower to keep clean, not for pleasure during the 9 days as usual. You should use water that is cooler than you would normally use.

I know many people don't shower durring the nine days, but any pamphlet, shut, referrence, etc. I've ever seen has put halacha like this, without even directing people to a LOR for personal guidance.

I guess it depends on the community, hashkafa etc. of the person.

But this is a poll and I voted other, and want to explain my vote.

In no way is this halachic guidance for others.

I shower every day. I live in the blazing, hot, israeli negev, and by the end of a day I am so hot and sticky I actually have to peel my stockings off. (I know, YUCK!)
So in the nine days I shower with cold water. Prob is I actually still enjoy it because I am-so-freakin HOT!!
My DH basically showers every day too, but he doesn't do everything (sometimes hair, sometimes not, etc.)
I can not imagine not showering every day... But maybe in cutz la'aretz...
As far as intimacy, we're both sick anyway.
