is there a right way to wear them? Buckle on right or on left? I wonder about this everytime I put on a belt...

depends on whether you're a rightie or a leftie. Most ppl wear them so their dominant hand holds the pierced end and their non-dominant holds the buckle. Or maybe the opposite. But, seriously, my dear, aren't there enough things to worry about in the world? Nobody gives a flying fish on what side you buckle your belt, be you man or woman. Nobody would even notice, so long as you don't do something weird like buckle it in the back or off to the side. Unless, of course, you wear one of those artsy contoured belts with a big ornament in front that are designed to close in back--but that type usually comes with snaps, not a buckle--or one of those obnoxious huge buckles that say "Big Mama" or "Boy Toy" in rhinestones. With those, it's pretty obvious which side goes where.
