I dont get mishpacha, but I have a recipe for crunchy cabbage salad:

1 bag cole slaw mix
1/2 purple onion-diced

Dressing:
6 Tblsp vinegar
6 Tblsp sugar
1/2 cup oil
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper

Mix dressing, pour over cabbage and onions. (I prefer to let it marinate for a couple hours or more before serving).

serve-topped with 1/2 cup chow mein noodles

I have a similar one to this one too. my recipe adds mandarin oranges, scallions and water chestnuts too. [cashews instead of almonds,] white wine vinegar rather than regular vinegar.

They are also sometimes called "cellophane noodles". They come wrapped in a small hard brick shape, in a plastic wrapper. They would normally be found near the soup powder and/or cup-a-soup items.

Really want to make this for Shabbos! Does anyone know which flavor of ramen noodles to use (oriental, chicken..)?

thanks for your reply Smile

I saw some recipes online with chicken in it- they called for chicken flavored ramen noodles.

I am wondering if I should just use the chicken flavored as well or should I use the oriental flavor since I am not putting chicken in it..?
