Day camp here is $50/week. We homeschool the rest of the year, but I send my two oldest to day camp all of July. It's a great change of pace for us! And I get some focused time with the two youngest, thoroughly declutter and organize my house, and do my lesson planning for the coming year. It's great!

I live in Canada
for the backyard camp it's $75.00 per week per kid
so for three kids that's $225.00 per week for the three kids
times 8 weeks is $1,800.00

My son's day camp was 1420 shekel for 12 days. I think that's insane. They went on 2 trips that were, get this, FREE trips. Like a big park and a hike.

Wow, that's A LOT! Ds1's camp was $110 for one week and they went on very nice trips. (This daycamp consists of only trips; they go to a different place each day. Some trips are free, some cost money, but all are a lot of fun.)

In Baltimore paid $900 early registration fee for both DS and DD to go to day camp for 7 weeks. This does not include tips. There were no trip fees.

Long, Long, Long, Long ago when I went to sleepaway camp for 8 weeks it was $7000.

My two oldest each got to go to one month of camp. My preschooler went to 5 weeks of backyard camp in July for $45/week and my elementary school child is going to camp that is $80/week (but it includes a trip per week and swimming at a real pool).

890 shekel times 4 kids - 3 weeks of school day camp. A generous number of trips. Kids ages 4-12. (The 4 year olds don't have trips.)

My 20 year old DS will work in a day camp.
My 18 year old DD wants to volunteer in a 10-day special needs sleepaway camp.
My 17 year old DS is in sleepaway camp in the US, and a relative is paying. He is a special case.

That was last year.
This year:
950 X 3 kids - 3 weeks of school day camp, with a lot of trips.
690 for 3 weeks of gan day camp without trips.
I don't even know how much - for a hairstyling course my adult daughter is doing.
Relatives paid for my adult sons to visit them for a few weeks.

I don't know if this was posted already, but most offices provide a flexible spending account for day care. The money comes out of your paycheck pretax, and can be used for day camps for children under 12. I use this to pay for my kids to go to day camp and we save a lot of money on our taxes this way.

I claim $4,000 for my 2 children to go to day camp - that's a lot of tax money we don't pay (legally I might add).

The only catch is, if you don't use it, you lose it, and you have to pay first and then get reimbursed after the summer is over.
