I live in Israel and am always desperate for English reading material.
My wonderful dh bought me a Nook for my birthday and I can now download books for free from my in-law's library branch. I have access to tons of books now! Yay!
I am so out of the loop of good reading material I don't know where to start. I enjoy John Grisham, and recently got hooked on Irish writers like Maeve Binchey and Cecelia Ahern.
Please recommend good authors/books, preferably moderately clean in terms of language/sexuality.

You might like Mossy Creek or Fannie Flagg.
My taste runs to mysteries. Check out Sharyn McCrumb.
Also, for some reason I've read more non-fiction than before. If you're interested I can give you some ideas.
