My father's (seventh) yortzeit is Yud Alef Elul which is Monday, Labor Day this year. I can't find anything to sponsor on Monday (well, I could send juice and rugulach to shul but DH has parents and all-out refuses to do it)
So I am sponsoring the paper goods in our shul's Shabbos kiddush, if anyone attends or wants to attend.

That sounds like a good idea. My parents have done that in the past on the Shabbos b4 my grandparents yartzeits.
May your father be a "gutte better" for us all.

I had a friend who sponsored just the cholent. (I don't think she made and brought it, just paid for it.)
You can sponsor a chumash or a siddur. or a few of each.
I see in the summer in our shul the paper goods are EMBARRASINGLY TERRRIBLE, so that's what prompted me to do this.
our kiddush is 500 to sponsor! so I have no problem sponsoring less.
