I would advise you to check the website yad2.co.il,
but not now in a month or two,
it's a little early to book for summer time

My place isn't small and it is in Beitar not Yerushalayim, but we won't be home... People keep on suggesting we rent it out while we are gone but I am not quite sure I am up for the extra work.

If I hear of anything I will keep you in mind.

I am not at all familar with the neighborhoods. Is there a nabe you can suggest for a young married couple, who want to do touring. I guess it should be near buses and near a sul.

There are many many many many areas in jerusalem that are great for young couples and near shuls Wink
Do they want to be in an area that is their hashkafa or do they not care?
I lived in rechavia and that is near shaarei chesed and baka and the german colony are near there. Those are all lovely areas and all close to buses and shuls.

They have never been to Israel, so I guess any chareidi denominational area would be fine.
They want to be able to visit the kotel regularly, but I guess they can make bus connections from anywhere.

Any leads to apartmens?

OK so the areas that I mentioned are NOT charedi.
They will want areas like geula, sanhedria meurcheved, maalot daphna. I am not familiar with how to find apartments in that area, but maybe someone who lives in a charedi area close to the kotel (the ones I mentioned here are walkable) will see this post.

Rechavia/Shaarei Chessed have a chareidi section and is walkable to the kotel, Geula, town, shuk and more But an apt there will not be cheap. Check out janglo.net for listings

I hate to say it, but $800 for 3 weeks in a prime Jerusalem location sounds anything but exorbitant. You can't rent much of anything in Jerusalem for $1200 a month, and that is with a year long contract. A hotel would cost you that for 3-4 nights.

Maybe you should look outside of Jerusalem?
