I need to make a freezable dinner for a neighbor and baked ziti/lasagna was requested. What side dishes can go with that to freeze? Besides for veggies, I've no clue what can freeze.
TIA!

| Soup! Soup freezes really well, & I think a nice vegetable soup goes well with a pasta dish.

Send the frozen baked ziti or lasagna along with soup, and baguettes to be made crusty when rewarmed.
I would probably send a leafy salad too, but since it can't be frozen...
(Which veggies can be frozen btw?) _________________ Really Awesome Mom!

I've frozen onion soup well, and that also would go well with lasagna.
Actually, I'm sending a lasagna tonight to a friend who had a baby two weeks ago... now I'm thinking I'll make some onion soup to go with it... _________________ I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Thanks for the ideas!
I thought of soup too, but not sure if she'll want it in this heat... But, it is an option.
And by veggies, I meant the frozen kind- like green beans, broc/cauli etc.
Any other ideas, please?

You can open up a bag of frozen veggies, pour it into a Ziploc bag, include crushed garlic, olive oil and salt. Write instructions with a marker on the bag for pouring it all into a pan, and roasting in the oven.
Maybe ready vegetable bourekas.
