Don't think so. It's a kamatz followed by a chataf kamatz and correctly pronounced as kamatz katan, or Naw-aw-mi like in Mordechai. Good one, I was thinking like the O in a New yorker's coffee, but the o in Mordechai is exactly right, being also a kamatz katan. |

| Daughter of Nomi here. We weren't sure how to pronounce it either but our Rabbi told us it's Nomi, and so that's what my daughter's name is. (In Bais Yaakov we had always pronounced it as N'Ahmee.

Naw-aw-MEE, but virtually nobody pronounces it that way. Only person I ever heard say it that was was Iranian-born. Most seem to say it Nah-aw-mee.
