Ezra medical center/pediatrics department

does anyone use ezra medical center pediatrics department?

I have been across many doctors in boro park and not happy with them for various reason. main reason being one of the following;

1. either the doctor is very very pushy about numerous vaccines per visit
or
2. the doctor is very laid back regarding vaccines adn does not perform well checkup of child priior to administering the vaccine.
or
3.doctor is not good communicator (in and out) you spend most of your visit with nurse/assistant.

I was told about ezra medical center and wanted to know people's expreince with it especially in regards to immunizations.

I use Dr. Petty from Ezra Medical and I'm happy with her. I've also seen Dr. Kadar (not sure about spelling) sometimes and he's very good as well.

I heard from a friend that their appointments are very punctual. She uses dr kadar and is happy.

I use them too and am very happy with them>Dr Petty takes more time< you can ask her many questions and shell give you all the time in the world. Dr Kadar is much quicker and to the point. probably more experienced too. I used him for many years when he was in far rockaway

I am extremely happpy with Dr. Petty. She is very patient, makes sure you're well informed, and has great bedside manners. She is also thorough and in my opinion is cautious enough but doesn't scare you... The office is organized and clean and the staff is both professional and nice...

another vote for Dr. Kadar, my dd loves him always has a duck or something cute in his pocket to calm the kid down,

regarding vaccines go speak to him and see what he has to say.

love the waiting room, sometimes I dont even get to sit down and im being called in.

I love ezra medical for my kids! its beautiful, the people are pleasant, and they respect my time! there is almost no wait which is great when you have a cranky sick kid on your hands.

that being said, I do not like Dr. Petty. I feel that while she is a good doctor, she has a terrible bedside manner and was not good with my young children at all. she had me restrain them for the simplest of things and I felt that she was a bit rough- much better suited to working with adults I think.

I love Dr. Kadar. he is very kind and caring and works with my children to make the process as fun and not scary as possible. he takes a special interest in his patients and calls to make sure they are all right if he is worried after a visit....he takes every concern I have seriously and spends as much time as I need discussing my concerns. he marvels at my children's growth and is a very warm and loving person. I would recommend him to anyone..

in terms of shots, they did as I wanted. I was basically on time with shots until my child was 12 months and was basically sick on and off until 18 months so I said no shots until they are well which Dr. Kadar supported 100 percent. I really couldn't be happier with my choice of Pediatrician.

thanks sooo much. I will try dr kadar. just one more question.......are the doctors you want to see always available. how does it work when you make appointment and your doctor is always there or if you have emergency do you get to speak with doctor you want....?????

I second what ellie23 said.
I am so happy with Dr Kadar. He calls to check up on my child if I call in with a question or had a visit that needed following up.
If you have an emergency he is not always available but they give you whoever is. I have had Dr Norman and she is also good but for long term I preferred dr Kadar.

Cannot give enough praise for him. He is so laid back, caring and totally respects whatever parenting choice you make aside for answering whichever questions you have.
I once heard him say to my 15mnth old son as he was checking his diaper area, "I am going to take off your diaper but only your mummy and tatty can do that and me if they are in the room"
I asked him at what age do I start introducing such things since it is a scary area of bringing up children and he went to get a book and told where to buy it and I did and it is great!

He really is the best.

I have been using Dr. Petty for five years and absolutely love her. She is extremely patient and laid back. I have called her on numerous occasions and she gives plenty of time during the visit to ask any question under the sun. I find Dr. Kadar to be quicker and I don't feel as comfortable asking him a million questions. My kids are the fearful type and I have never had to hold them down. Half the time I hold them when she checks them. If you are calling for a well visit in advance you will be able to get whichever doctor you want. However, for sick visits you usually don't have much of a choice if you want to come in pretty quickly. Also whoever is on call will get back to you.

chocolate chips- he did the same for my 1 year olds! he said " now I will take off your diaper. this is something only a mommy, daddy or doctor should do"....
