I had my bat mitzvah in my house many years ago, and we ordered some crafts form oriental trading company magazine (here's their website: http://www.orientaltrading.com) they have tons of fun stuff, plus you can always get a gross (144) of an item for a goody bag or prizes... I'd say sit down with the bat mitzavah girl and let her pick some of her favorite things to do, (but make sure that it's something the other girls will enjoy doing also, no one wants to have her friends say how boring things are)

another idea, for my sisters bat mitzvah (which was not at home) we contacted a tezdaka my friend ran called caps for kids, and the girls decorated caps for kids with cancer who lost their hair... see if there are any tezadaka organizations like that near you (we live in jersey) and it doesn't have to sacrificially be for cancer kids, maybe buy a bunch of plain white onesies, and safe paint etc, and have them decorate onesies for new parents who have a hard time affording clothes or something like that.
