What's your favorite game (not imamother game)?

And who do you play with?

I like rummy. I would love to play with my dh, but he's not into games, unless it's a sports game Wink

. Because of that, I taught my kids and I play with them all the time. We also play boggle. When I play with them boggle, they can do 3 letter words, but to give them an edge, I only do 4 letter words or more. We also play junior pictionary. I bought othello, but b'h we lost the pieces Laughing

because of course they want to play with mommy, but mommy doesn't like that game. I don't know why, I never did. I thought it was because I always lose, but I didn't when I played with them and I still didn't like it.

Bogle, bananagrams (can be played on Shabbat!), scrabble, mastermind, Monopoly. I love Clue, but it can't be played on Shabbat and that is when I have the most time. I am sure there are more, but I cannot think of them right now.

Settlers of Catan! Best game ever! And can be played with two people! My DH and I play it almost ever Shabbos!

Playing apples to apples or Taboo with siblings or close friends is the best, because your shared history and knowledge of one another's sense of humor makes it really funny. Half the game ends up being reminiscing about private jokes or silly anecdotes.

Rummy and boggle.

Dh does not like playing games so I gave up on asking him to play with me rummy, I play with my kids.
In the summertime, we play boggle outside with my neighbors.

I love playing Boggle. My dh won't play with me - because there's no competition (I cream him). I play against the computer now.

Quick word games or card games which dh won't play. He's too clever to for such games. But I wouldn't play scrabble cos I don't have the patience for it. I quite enjoy playing monopoly with dh.
