I was actually pleasantly surprised by the behavior of the second group, not surprised at all by the silence in the first group and was surprised there was only vocally anti-semitic customer in the third

the statistics told the truth..the issue is silent anti-semitism...people who act one way in public but hold anti semitic views in private

That's an interesting analysis, Mimi. I bet what they were trying to show was the "most people" will stick up for the Jews. You need to take into account the venue: Bloomfield is and is surrounded by heavily Jewish populations, including Orthodox. There is a great chance that the people in the store ARE Jewish (as we saw) or have friends/neighbors/business associates who are. The people of Bloomifield are "exposed" to the culture and generally know Jews don't bite.
I wonder what would have happened in a less saturated area.

I was also wondering that when I next clicked on the link "What would you do? Muslims in America".

They tried this out with an Arab woman in a store in Texas. The customers were disgusting to her. I wondered how these same customers would have reacted to the Jewish actors. Something tells me they wouldn't have been as supportive as the New Jersey customers.
