depends on how long the lesson was, I think 35 for 45 minutes, 45 for an hour, I"m not sure how many I took but my instructior is on here and she can feel free to chime in.
I think I took 3 tests already, I took a break now for a few weeks, want to schedule another one and a few more lessons.
there is one place in willi that says you don't pay if you don't pass the test but I don't know if they do ladies, might be a mens only thing.
you also have to keep in mind by each lesson I left my kid at a babysitter so that was at least another 10 dollars, each test was a lot more.

I passed on my second try. I forget how much the lessons cost me but it was pretty reasonable. Of course I learned to drive in manhattan, so that was an experience in itself...
It's expensive but worth it. If you have someone in the family who can drive with you/ practice parking with you in between your paid lessons this can really help you cut costs and get comfortable behind the wheel. _________________ Need Help with college or graduate school applications?

| I'm in the driving parsha myself. Have taken over 20 lessons at 45 bucks a pop, and STILL failed the test 4 times. I'm done paying for those stupid lessons, so currently DH is taking me out in our own car on Sundays. I don't feel ready to take the test again yet, but at least I'm learning for free and I feel much less pressured.

Spent about 700 bucks.
I passed on the first try.
I needed quite a few lessons though, as I did not know a thing about driving before I started my lessons..

I took the test 7 times over 4 years. I should never been allowed behind a wheel for at least 4 of those tests. In the end my husband was the best instructor. (but his lessons were not great for shalom bayis...)

I don't remember how much the lessons cost, but I took the minimum amount of lessons required by the state. My father taught me everything else
I passed the test on the second try

| I took 4 or 5 lessons at $35 each, and passed the road test ($120) on the first try. So that was less than $300 for a very worthy investment.
