What do other working parents do??
Daycares have long hours, sometimes till 7PM, so its easy for a working mom. But what do you do when your kid starts school and dismissal is 4PM? I dont understand why the schools dont have an afterschool program to accomodate working parents.
What does everyone do?

| I am not in bklyn, my son gets out of school at 3:30 but bH I have a local after school program. From what I understand from my f/t working friends in Bklyn, they spend an arm and a leg on babysitting for the last few hours of the day. Another option, depending on your child's age, your location, and your preferences is a public school/not jewish after school program. The non jews all do it without private babysitting.

| I pay a teacher to drop off my child at a babysitter's home. Between paying the driver and paying for babysitting it is expensive, but that's life.

| Ask the school to start an afterschool childcare program. If five or six kids are enrolled, it would probably cover the cost of a babysitter.
