I am thinking of purchasing a bosch. Is it true that you have to hold your machine while you mix challah dough? I never have to worry about my kitchenaid moving around my counter.
I am actually very happy with it (have it for 12 years+) but I have b''ha outgrown it and I have heard the 6 quart kitchenaids are not as reliable.

Also does anyone have the food processor attachement for the bosch? Your comments will be really helpful.

When my 6 qt Kitchenaid stopped working, Kitchenaid rep told me, that I over worked it, cuz it's not made to make bread in it on a regular basis. (just go it fixed this week, after 2 years, by an appliance man who happened to be in my house for another product) I did research on what was better for challah baking, the Bosch or the Electrolux (aka MagicMill). I bought the Electrolux (put over 5lbs of flour in it, and doesn't move one bit through the 10 min I leave it to knead - often leaving the room while it's working), and have been very happy with it. I do however prefer the kitchenaid for cakes (but the Electrolux for bread, challah or cookie dough) I'm happy to now have both working machines.

You can read a little about this here my blog

You only have to hold it if it's a very old broken one. Laughing I remember doing that for my mother's. I love my Bosch.

Have a Bosch, never had to hold onto it so it shouldn't move. I prefer this over the magic mill (mom had one).

I have been using the Bosch for many years b"h. Never had to hold it. During Yomim Tovim I put in 7 lbs. B"h so far so good. Delicious Challas and cakes (wish you wouldn't gain weight from them)
