Summer of 1989. Manhattan. 9 credits. English, some kind of history and some psychology thing. A minus, A and A. I was pg with my first. My dh packed me supper and the girls were jealous. Had to ride the subway from Flatbush. He learned at the Mir. (We were visiting from Israel.)

They provided transportation home with Bracha Vehatzlacha Car and Van Services, which I thought would be kollel avreichim but instead was Haitian drivers. The kollel guys owned it, I guess! It was billed as a women's program in Bklyn but ended up men and women (separate classes) in the city.

Was anyone here with me then? Brachie, Chevi, Devorah, Chavi, Ilana...?
