| I alternate days with my husband. I get a set amount of days off so there's nothing to handle with my boss. I just have to call my secretary as soon as I know I will not be in.

| same as nicole. I alternate with my husband. and as for bosses, what can they really do? here in israel, I know that my husband has a set amount of sick days as well as sick days for a child, so thats good. I work in a gan so I just get days, but we do what we have to do.

I'm a teacher, and my boss really sends me on a huge guilt trip any time I can't come in. (She can send you on a guilt trip if you call in with a fever of 104, and throwing up every time you open your mouth...)
Thank goodness I have my MIL and mother both nearby, and they can very often help out. The older kids can also spend the day at my SIL's house. She runs a playgroup, so she's home, and they stay in a separate room so they're not near the other kids. _________________ That's the way the cookie crumbles...

Depends on what day of the week it is. Tuesday my DH doesn't work, so he's on! Otherwise it's usually me. _________________ Emmanuel Tzvi: 26 Shevat 5766

| DH has more flexible schedule so he's the primary one to stay with the kids. Alternatively my nanny can be flexible with if I can let her know a day in advance. If push comes to shove, I'll make an arrangement to work from home if I don't have meetings or external engagements. Plus a few back-up babysitters phone numbers. No immediate family here.

| You need the kind of job that allows you to use your sick days for you OR your children.

| My husbands schedule is also more flexible so he usually takes off. bh my boss is very understanding and never gives me a problem when I need to take off. Plus my mom lives in town so she can always help me out...
