Miss me? Angry with me? Whatever....here I am...My mom drove me back here. Here cancer is back again and yes while I am asking for Tehilim I'm also asking for something else.

First the Tehiliim Masha Aaron Bat Bluma Batya.

Second, this time she is down, way down and admits it. Emotionally she is busted and sad and afraid and feeling helpless and like she can't help anyone else. OK, like all daughter's I have issues with mom. But she is really a good person and has tried to help others, and is normally strong.

So what do I want?

Jokes. Funny stories. Things that will make her LAUGH!

Got em give em. UP UP UP jokes. No gallows humor.

Thanks.
Hi again.

Refuah shleima!!!
Wish I could cut and paste, I saw a plea for hachnasas kallah from the choson's side. Someone must have got the forward - please share!
Try GCFL. Though today's is based on a mistaken obit, so maybe not the best day to start...

This?
Dear Fellow Jew,

Even though the current economic situation is very tough for all of us, we turn to you for help for a Chosson who just recently got engaged. His whole life, nebach, has been one of great tragedy; his parents were divorced when he was still a young child, and when he was just fifteen years old, his mother was a passenger in a car that was involved in major accident and *unfortunately* died as a result of the injuries she sustained.

Due to his family situation he had no other choice other than, rachmona l'tzlan, to join the army, and now at the age of twenty-eight after many years of hardship and great difficulty, he has finally found his zivug.

We trust you won't turn him away in his time of greatest need. Please send donations marked 'Hachnosas Kalloh' to the address below. On behalf of him and his family we offer you our heartfelt thanks and thank you in sharing in this great mitzva.

Send donations to:

Buckingham Palace,
Buckingham Palace Rd,
London SW1A 1AA,United Kingdom

I don't think that's very funny. Divorce and the death of a parent are tragic even when you're rich and royal.

That was my first reaction, nanoseconds before the coffee spurted over the keyboard, but considering who shared it with me and who I shared it with, I decided that most people would appreciate it. My apologies to those who find it distasteful.

I just heard this joke online from Rabbi Lazer Brody. May your mother have a refuah shleimah.

Rabbi Chaimov, a big Buchari rabbi in Queens, and Catholic cardinal Sekola meet up. The cardinal asks the rabbi, after the Pope dies, to bless him that he should be elected Pope.

The rabbi says, "I give you a blessing that Hashem should do the right thing."

Cardinal Sekola says, "I'm not so concerned with Hashem, I'm Catholic. I just want to be Pope. You don't believe I'll be Pope, do you?"

The rabbi replies, "I believe you're most qualified to be Pope." This satisfies the Cardinal.

So the church votes, and it turns out that no one voted for Cardinal Sekola.

The cardinal returns to the rabbi and says, "I don't get it. Not one person voted for me. How can that be?"

Rabbi Chaimov replies, "What, you want that all the Catholics in the world will bow down to Pope Sekola?"

I don't think it was about the loss but rather that someone from Buckingham Palace would need the money...but I can see where those who object are coming from.

Thank you for all the messages for my mom...they really do help. I'll send her a batch Tomorrow.
