Please explain how blogging works!

I am interested in knowing how it all works.

How do you find a homepage or is it called something else? where you write whatever it is that you write?
Does it cost money to do?
How do you get "traffic" on your bog?
Can you truly write about anything?

You can have a blog on livejournal or blogspot or a number of other sites.

It's free.

You get traffic by advertising your blog (for example in your signature) and by commenting on other people's blogs.

You can write about whatever you want. You don't have to write about anything you don't want to write about. You don't have to disclose your location or anything like that.

It's exactly what you want it to be.

Google has a good one, it's called blogger and it's free, there are lots of layouts and backgrounds to choose from.

The only limitation on what you write is that some sites might ask for a (or provide an optional) filter if you're writing about stuff that should only be for adults.

I like Wordpress.com personally.

I use blogspot . I don't make or pay money. I don't have much traffic because I don't want random people finding it so I made it so it won't show up on search engines. You have to have the link from me or a friend who has the link to read it.
