I have a feeling that soon I might be fired. I understand that there are laws which dont allow you to get fired within one year after birth. (Israel) Does anyone know anything about that?

One year? In my dreams. 70 days, from the end of a maternity leave. (Actually, they need to give you a month's notice not earlier than 45 days after the end of a maternity leave, so it works out to around 70 days.)

If you've worked for your employer for at least six months, then you can't be fired during maternity leave or for the 2 months afterward. If I remember correctly.
