Ah, thought so.
They're all members of one family, the mother gave birth to #17 (15th child) and the bris is Shabbos after shul.
They 're all members of one family that just won Shmini-Atzeres in the Blank Hotel in a Chinese Auction.
They're members of two families, the daughter of one just got engaged to the son of the other, and the two families are getting together on Shabbos lunch.
YOU just had a baby and will be in kimpatorin over Shabbos.

you guys came up with some nice ideas! My DD has chicken pox (I think!) and as our chilren are still quite young (so are most of our friends kids) non of our guests children have had it yet and are staying away. bit dissapointed as 2 of the couples were to be first time guests, we'll get them another time- now we're in for a poxafull, quiet yomtov.
as for kimpaturin, I dont really know much about it- have never been but did look at the advert on this site longely! maybe IYH next time! Have you been? whats it like? I'm picturing 5 star hotel resort with all the support you need with baby- I'm prob wrong though.

Oy, I liked my ideas better than the reality! Refuah shliemah to the kids. Hope you have lots of oatmeal on hand.
Kimpatorin? No idea. Only ever knew one woman who went. After the hospital I just wanted to be back home in my own four walls.
